Hot off the heels of the community survival horror title, Slender, based on the internet creepy pasta legend, Slender Man, another game is set to be made with the rake like character as its focus.

Known at the moment as Slender: Source, the game will involve a similar setup of collecting items – in this instance porcelain dolls instead of post it notes – and will purportedly feature multiplayer elements, though the developers of the mod have yet to say how many people it will involve. Apparently its a toss up between two and four players working cooperatively to find the dolls before Slender Man gets them.
“We currently have the game set at 4 player limits, but we’ve been discussing lowering it to around 2 players,” said the developer in a QnA. “This is still up for discussion, and we’ll constantly be thinking about how we’re going to work around this. We want to keep the horror factor in-tact when players play the mod, and we still want them getting scared.”

It’s also been discussed that the environment will present a challenge to players, with dangerous additions like traps and pits that make running blindly, if you see the Slender Man a hazard in itself. However as with the multiplayer features, those working on the game have said that if beta feedback is negative with regards to traps, they can easily remove them.
While the main enemy in the game will be Slender Man himself, the players will also need to deal with the fear the game instills. If you’ve seen any of the videos of or played the original Slender game, you’ll know the sort of thing that this game will bring: the long armed and legged antagonist slowly creeping up on the player.
