Microsoft try to take down Zeus Botnets



Reports indicate that Microsoft, with an escort of U.S. Marshals seized control of command and control servers on Friday in two states in America. This is an ongoing campaign by Microsoft to take down botnets involving 13 million computers infected with the Zeus Malware.
Microsoft announced  that “some of the worst known Zeus botnets were disrupted by Microsoft and our partners worldwide.”
They added “In our most complex effort to disrupt botnets to date, Microsoft’s Digital Crimes Unit – in collaboration with Financial Services – Information Sharing and Analysis Center (FS-ISAC) and NACHA – The Electronic Payments Association, as well as Kyrus Tech Inc. – has executed a coordinated global action against some of the worst known cybercrime operations fueling online 


Flame virus ordered to self destruct

Experts spoke out last night to say that the Flame computer virus has received orders to self destruct.
Symantec said in a blog post last night that the Flame “command-and-control servers sent an updated command to several compromised computers. This command was designed to completely remove (Flame) from the compromised computers.

Adobe announced that Creative Suite 6 (CS6) is now available.

The new suite contains the latest versions of InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, After Effects, Adobe Premier Pro, Flash Professional. A nasty worm slithering through Facebook has successfully pilfered more than 45,000 usernames and passwords from users of the world's most popular social network.
Most of the Facebook victims are the the U.K. and France, according to researchers at Seculert.
The worm, called Ramnit, was first discovered around 2010 stealing FTP credentials and browser cookies from infected machines.

A security company called Securlet has recently revealed that a worm called Ramnit has stolen the login id and password and hijacked over 4500 Facebook accounts. The worm seems to be spreading more frequently among Windows OS users. Securlet has stated that after gaining the login credentials, the hackers are manually signing into the account of the users and then they are sharing infected links on the walls of other users. By just clicking on the link, the browser allows the Ramnit worm to automatically download to your Windows driven computer and then it attacks the .exe files, html files, MS-Office files and your Outlook email service.

Microsoft confirms Metro-style IE 10 will not support plug-ins


Microsoft provided a brief overview on Tuesday of its Internet Explorer 10 web browser that will be a part of Windows 8. The details shared confirm that there will be two versions of it; a normal Windows application not unlike existing versions of IE, and a second “Metro-style” touch-friendly browser that fits in perfectly with the whole Metro world.
What’s particularly interesting to note about metro browserthis is that not support plugins whatsoever. We heard whispers of Microsoft’s intent to do away with IE plugins in Metro as far back as October last year and now Microsoft’s lead program manager for the Internet Explorer team,  John Hrvatin confirms it.

With Apple adding a Mac App Store for to OS X and everyone from Amazon to Lenovo getting into the app store game on mobile, a Windows 8 app store seems like a no-brainer. We don't know much about the look, feel, pricing or selection of the store because Microsoft's only official word on it comes in a blog post from Windows Division President Steven Sinofsky where he simple lists "App Store" as one of the many teams working on Windows 8.

However, in April, Chinese site CnBeta posted the picture above, claiming that it came from a leaked build
