In the last year, Samsung has established itself as the most popular Android device manufacturer in the world. Aided by the release of the Galaxy S3, the Korean company posted record-breaking shipments and
sales in this year’s second quarter. Of course, with the $700+ (and $1100+ for the 64GB version) price tag, consumers are more than willing to spend a little extra to protect their “investment.”
Hoping to capitalize on the amazing success of Samsung’s latest flagship device, a lot of companies have released protective covers, cases, and other accessories for the device. Unfortunately, with the multitude of options available, it becomes increasingly difficult for the us, the consumers, to make the right choice. This is where we come in! We’ve seen a lot of cases for the Galaxy S3 in our soft case  and hard case review roundups. Today we take a look at a few more, with the Cygnett cases for the Samsung Galaxy S3. The three we will show you today are the Frost, the Form, and the TubeMap case.

Frost Matte Slim case

The Frost case has a simple and elegant design and protects your Galaxy S3 without adding unnecessary bulk. This case comes with a screen protector and an electronics cleaning cloth in the box. Features of the Frost Matte Slim case include:

• Made with a highly durable material that is strong, scratch-resistant, and fingerprint-resistant.
• Matte finish makes the phone very easy to grip.
• Easy to use snap-on design.
• Perfectly placed cutouts for the headphone jack, microUSB port, camera, LED, speaker, volume rocker, and power button.

The case is semi-transparent, which means you can still see the Samsung logo on the back, even though we looked at a black case. The Frost case has a nice and thin profile, and feels great in the hand. Unfortunately, it does not cover the top and the bottom of the phone, but the slightly raised edges should reduce any damage from direct impact.

Form Slim high-gloss case

This slim-fit case is made with a durable polycarbonate material and has a sleek design with a glossy finish. This case also comes with a screen protector and electronics cleaning cloth. Features of the Form Slim high-gloss case include:

• Easy to use snap-on design.
• Slightly malleable.
• Cutouts for the headphone jack, volume rocker, camera, LED, speaker, microUSB port, and power button.
• Raised edge to protect from face-down impact.

TubeMap (London Transport Series) Hard case

The TubeMap hard case is an official licensed product for the Transport of London (London Underground). Features of this hard case include:

• Glossy hard case which enhances the look of the Galaxy S3
• Comes with a screen protector
• Slim-fit and does not add too much bulk
• Easy to use snap-on design
• Cutouts for the camera, LED, speaker, volume rocker, headphone jack, microUSB port, and power button.

Of course, the special feature about this case is the map of the London Underground Tube system on the back with the city’s most famous stations. The cutout for the camera, LED, and speaker is a different design from the other cases, with no pillars in between. This is a limited edition case, and was released perfectly in-time with the London Olympics, for which Samsung is an official sponsor.

Conclusion

The Cygnett Frost, Form, and TubeMap cases are all great covers to protect your Samsung Galaxy S3 from accidental bumps and drops. Unfortunately, all three don’t provide too much protection for the top and bottom of the phone, so that might not be suited for everybody. Of course, the limited edition TubeMap hard case has the most distinctive feature, and is definitely a good choice if you live in London.
